| Pressure control valves of types DB and DBW are pilot operated pressure relief valves. They are used for the limitation (DB) or limitation and solenoid operated unloading (DBW) of the operating pressure. Pressure relief valves (DB) basically consist of main valve with main spool insert and pilot valve with pressure adjustment element. |
| The pressure present in channel P acts on main spool. At the same time, the pressure is applied via pilot lines and that are provided with orifices and to the springloaded side of main spool and to ball in pilot valve. |
| When the pressure in channel P rises to a value above that set on spring, ball opens against spring. The signal for this process is provided internally via pilot lines from channel P. The hydraulic fluid on the spring-loaded side of main spool can now flow via pilot line, orifice bore and ball into spring chamber. |
